CRYSTAL ELIXIRS and GEM WATER
A crystal elixir is a healing water/liquid that has the properties of specific crystals inherited to it. Once made it can be put in a dropper bottle and rubbed into pulse points, rubbed into chakra points, sprayed into the aura or around the room, used in bath water etc.
There are 2 methods of production – the direct and indirect (double container) method. It is important not to use toxic or soluble crystals when using the direct method (quartz is recommended) as it involves placing a cleansed quartz crystal in a clear glass bowl full of spring, distilled or bottled water and placing it in full sunlight for 2 to 3 hours. When doing this you need to be calm and focused. Minimal physical contact should also be used – so a spoon should be used to remove the stone. The next stage is to pour the liquid into a dark glass bottle and mix with an equal amount of pure vodka (minimum 40%) or vinegar. This will act as a preservative and also will help to fix the vibration. This is then the decanted into a smaller dark glass dropper bottle as needed.
The double container method is similar. It is the same principle as above but there is no direct crystal contact with the fluid. The crystal is placed in a small sealed glass container which is then placed in a larger glass container of water. Additionally, six of the same crystals are placed around the container. Clear quartz crystal points facing inwards can also be used. This is then left for 4 hours or more.
Gem water can also be made by placing a non-toxic non-soluble crystal in a tumbler or pitcher of spring water and left overnight. The crystal is then removed in the morning with a spoon and the water can be sipped throughout the day.
